The **Monime Wordpress** plugin allows store owners in Sierra Leone (and other supported regions) to accept payments directly through their WooCommerce store using Monime's payment infrastructure.

It leverages Monime's [Checkout Session API](/apis/versions/caph-2025-08-23/checkout-session/object) to provide a secure, hosted payment experience.

## Key Features

- **Hosted Checkout:** Redirects customers to a secure Monime payment page, reducing PCI compliance scope.
- **Broad Payment Support:** Accept payments via:
  - **Mobile Money:** Orange Money, AfriMoney, etc.
  - **Cards:** Visa, Mastercard.
  - **Bank Transfers:** Direct bank integrations (e.g., SLCB).
  - **Digital Wallets:** Supported wallet providers.
- **HPOS Compatible:** Fully supports WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
- **Block Theme Support:** Integrated with WooCommerce Cart & Checkout Blocks.
- **Granular Control:** Configure exactly which payment providers are available to your customers.
- **Automated Statuses:** Uses webhooks to automatically update order statuses (Pending -> Processing/Failed).

## How It Works

1. **Checkout:** When a customer chooses "Monime" at your store, an order is created with `Pending Payment` status.
2. **Redirect:** The plugin creates a Monime Checkout Session and redirects the customer to the secure payment page.
3. **Payment:** The customer completes the payment using their preferred method.
4. **Confirmation:** Monime redirects the customer back to your "Order Received" page.
5. **Webhook:** Simultaneously, Monime sends a secure webhook to your server to confirm the payment and update the order status.

## Requirements

- **WordPress:** 6.2 or higher
- **WooCommerce:** 8.2 or higher
- **PHP:** 7.4 or higher
- **Monime Account:** A business account with an active Space.
