# Stack (/docs/products/dash-dots/reference/components/stack)

The first child sits at the bottom, and each child covers the whole stack. Place a child's content with `justify` and `align` on that child.

**Children:** Components

## Example

![The Stack component](/assets/images/dash-dots/components/stack.webp)

```xml title="view.dml"
<Stack radius="large" aspect="16:9">
  <Image src="statics/photo.jpg" alt="A photo" fit="cover" />
  <View justify="end" padding="medium">
    <Badge tone="success">New</Badge>
  </View>
</Stack>
```

## Props

| Prop     | Type                                                                        | What it is |
| -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------- |
| `radius` | [corner radius](/docs/products/dash-dots/reference/components#corner-radii) |            |
| `width`  | `fill`, or a `number` of points                                             |            |
| `height` | `fill`, or a `number` of points                                             |            |
| `aspect` | [aspect ratio](/docs/products/dash-dots/reference/components#aspect-ratios) |            |

## Events

None.

> **Note:** Setting `aspect` makes `height` pointless: the aspect sets the height. The build warns when both are set.
