Installation Steps

  1. Download the package from the main WordPress overview.
  2. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins.
  3. Upload the ZIP file you downloaded.
  4. Activate MonimeGateway.
  5. Install and activate GiveWP if it is not already installed.
  6. Confirm that your WordPress environment can reach the Monime API and accept inbound webhooks.
The Monime Gateway plugin provides the shared payment infrastructure. GiveWP provides the donation forms and donation record management. Both must be active for the integration to work.

What You Should See After Activation

After activation, WordPress should expose a Monime settings page for shared credentials. GiveWP should also expose a Monime payment gateway section inside its payment settings.

Verify the Plugin

  1. Open the Monime settings page in WordPress admin.
  2. Confirm that the main Monime credentials are saved.
  3. Go to the GiveWP payment gateway settings.
  4. Confirm that Monime appears as an available gateway.
  5. Open a test donation form and verify that Monime is selectable at checkout.
If Monime does not appear, usually one of three things is missing:
  • the Monime Gateway plugin is inactive,
  • GiveWP is inactive,
  • or the shared Monime credentials have not been saved yet.

Updates

To update later, download the newest build from the main WordPress overview and replace the existing ZIP. If you are updating a live site, test the new build on a staging site first so you can confirm checkout and webhook behavior before deploying it.
